Fulltilt explain why K3 was buzzing.

Fulltilt explain under what circumstances K3 can be buzzing in the following circuit when the ignition switch is on and the engine not running. And also explain what part of the relay was making the buzzing noise. Note: New battery installed so it is not it.

Besides which, I feel such a question could be better answered by someone with a more thorough, dare I say , in depth knowledge of 12v lawn mower circuitry, such as.. oh, I don't know...Luffydog ?
I hear he is an absolute whiz at such basic things as alternator wiring and such.

But you was putting us techs down as lowly things, calling us so called techs and that you're a real mechanic.

Come on if you're a real mower repairman you should be able figure this out or are you going let SCEs, MSTs and other techs be better at diagnostics?

Let's say this mower is in your shop what are you going to do call in a tech or do like the so-called mechanic did to this customer and screw up the customer's mower? When he did get through with it, it would not even crank. The customer refused to pay him as the mower was running fine other than a weak battery and a couple flats which he didn't even repair.

As for Luffy I am fairly certain he could answer this question very easily.

And yes I have forgotten a lot things most of which is no longer needed. I longer need to know how to repair IBM Selectrics typewriters, Friden Rotary calculators, or old mechanical check encoders. I do still do Torqflite 6 and 8 transmission rebuilds plus repairing just about anything around the home.

I wouldn't let him get under your skin too much. Have worked with more than a couple of people like that - you know, the ones that know everything, and the right way to do a job, and nobody else is as good at it as they are.. but then you give them a dilemma that is fairly simple to figure out just by reading the wiring diagram and they react by putting you down even further for trying to challenge them, instead of stepping up their game by solving the challenge..

Have worked with them in Auto repair, Heavy Truck Repair, Computer programming and systems administrators ( Oh yeah the guy that wrote a script in C and then claimed the bug I found was due to my code, because he was unable to duplicate the bug himself.. so I fixed his code, then mine worked right, then he got mad at the boss for pushing my revision to his code to the repository, because it fixed the bug.. ) - You'll find them in every line of work.. even the ones that try to tell you you're shoveling out the cow sh?t the wrong way, down on the farm...

They may be good, but nobody's so good that they know everything....

BGS If I can put up my pain the backside brother that he thinks knows it all this guy isn't going to bug me. I was just seeing if I was right about him after reading all his posts. Being able to admit you need help is a good sign of good repairman or any other person in their respective field of expertise. Personally I am not afraid to ask for help when needed and gladly offer it when ask.

By the way the problem was latching relay that was trying to latch when it wasn't supposed to and not latching due an stupid wiring mistake by someone at a JD dealer who thought they were bypassing the RIO function. Why in the world they would do this is not for me to say. This was causing the contacts to continuously switch at a extremely high rate creating the buzzing noise like old style key in the ignition alarms. The starting problem was because he cut the system main ground. I know it must have been intentional as it was taped; just a pain to get to as the engine had be moved out the way so I could get my crimper in to the area.

The big difference between me and you is that I have a enough common sense to ask if I don't know or understand something. I don't have all that pride built up like you do. In fact if u had the brains of dynamite I don't think you could blow your own nose. :popcorn:

Feeling about 90%,,,,the chemo and radiation really knocked the chit outta me...OR it might be age. At any rate, I'm selling the cottage because the insurance and Downstate Socialist MICHIGAN TAXES cost more than my house in Indiana. But I bought a little pontoon and rented a covered slip on a chain of lakes 45 minutes away.
