The ole nightmare job. Had one to come in the shop today. The man had someone to pull the motor out to be replaced. The man who was doing the job went to jail and couldn't finish the job. So I told him I would help him out and get it going. Underneath this unit is a plate for drive pulley that bolts to bottom of the frame with the motor bolts. Got the engine all bolted up wired in and the pulley on. Here was where it got fun. The clutch would never hit the stop. No matter what I did. So I sat and looked and looked at the pics on sears parts. Turns out that the spacers where missing. So here I sat u ser this mower and got bored of thinking and so frustrated I could of set fire to this thing. I started cleaning the deck off because it was so full of leaves grass and other butt nasty stuff. When all of a sudden this piece of metal hits and I hear it ding out for help. Lol low and behold it was one of the spacers for this unit. After about 30 min more of digging I found the other. The man who took it apart had to never seen them fall out and on to the deck. The owner just got luck they hung on to the finish line.
