So out of the 3, best guess would be ignition if it happened again? This plug wasn't as black as the example in the pic, but more than what I thought was normal with a few hours on it. I wouldn't think the choke control would relax hot and shutter the choke once it had opened? When I did my experiment, I didn't hit the electrode w/ point file or anything. Some black washed away with the carb spray. The plug was electrically failed in my opinion rather than fowled and shorting. At least my best guess.
