Before I did the clamping I check the ignition again after sitting overnight #2 was firing with #1 not firing and then as things warmed things changed; then #1 was up and #2 was back down. Really beginning point to the module even more. Since this uses only one ignition trigger coil I don't think that is the problem either.

At least now I know fuel is making its way to #2.

No difference with fuel return line clamping.

Makes me wonder if they dont use an internal diode set like Briggs does on some twins...

None shown in the wiring diagram. The fuel injector module contains the ignitors. X6 is the 12VDC in and Injector module is impulse grounding the coils to trigger the firing with 2,3,4 on X9 being chassis ground.

I just going to send the customer with the mower up to JD for repairs. I know JD can't repair the customer but maybe they repair the mower. I simply don't have $1200 to spare right now. My homeowner insurance just latched on to that.

When I claimed mine off slightly which caused the fuel pressure to raise found my problem to be in the injector

While looking around today I found some used AM121682's and will check with the customer if he wants to take chance on one off Ebay.

I also talked with JD dealer and they agreed that it is likely that the controller is my problem after I went over I have done troubleshooting wise.

I would say so with it once sold for over $8000 new and current resell in good condition at $4000.

Customer authorized me to buy an used control board @ $300. He asked how sure I was and I said 90% especially discussing the problem John Deere. It is a chance both are taking on me being right.

Dang it....

Just wanted to up date this thread.

The control module fixed the ignition problem but still had running problems otherwise. Well decide the pull the filter filter. Turn out to in the fuel tank on the fuel pump. Guess what it looked like it is completely caked with mud. On top of the fuel out line from the pump is blown. So it looks I finally got a handle on the last of the problems; I sure hope so. Another week delay as the filter kit has to come from the JD where house so the part won't show up until sometime Thursday.

Sure has been testing my patience. Fix one problem just to find another. Blown head gasket, failed ignition system, and now fuel delivery problems. All three were there to start with just the last two were hidden behind the first.

So those who guess fuel delivery problem was partially right.

I have had some issues where inside the tank will collect grass and other stuff and clog the fuel hole along with the fuel filter. Glad u got the upper hand on it. I would test the fuel flow from tank also to make sure have good flow. Thanks for the update.
