I went ahead and bought a carb it runs good under pressure but it hunts at idle
I am just living with it

Well I finally got around to installing that carburetor. It did hunt at first but screwing the idle adjust screw just about all the way in did the trick. Idle is a little higher than I would like but at least it's not hunting and it does go to full power when you hit the trigger on the wand. Simple replacement, cut my own gaskets, plugged the return tube at the tank. It appears to have two crankcase ventilators. I left the one going to the air filter and plugged the other one that went to the carb. The new carb does not have a port for it. So glad I got rid of that POS California EFI carb.
