The first part of the serial (GCAKK-118442) is the model code then use the type code to narrow it the right IPL. Note: Not all serial numbers are recognized. For example the IPL covers all of GX240U1 QXE4 and it is easy to mistake Q for an O. Their dot engraving isn't the greatest system but is way better then those labels that fall off or become unreadable we deal with.
On Jack's just enter the model code and search. It will pull a list of type codes that matches the model code. From there you select the matching type code. Don't worry about the serial number unless there is multiple serial ranges noted then if present select the one yours falls within.
On the Honda engine if I use the serial number part comes back as invalid but I get that a lot anyways so I just enter the model code and search to get the engine model and switch over to searching the model by type code.
But on either site you need to have both codes to get the right IPL. A little more involved but simple once you know what they are wanting. I prefer the Honda site as the IPLs will have serial number breaks withing the IPLs if needed. BTW the serial posted appears to be short one digit. Most are seven digits.
