Thanks Brian,
There were no other labels, papers, small parts/gasket bags, etc. inside the Briggs box. :?

then I suspect you didn't get a 100% complete short block, but for the price you paid, can't complain

Short blocks would come with the assembly gasket sets (head, intake, exhaust, etc) and for the point ignition blocks built after magnetron ignition became the production standard, you'd have a small parts it to plug the plunger hole, etc.. but still, for 95 bucks, thats a pretty durn good price for a short block.

Yes, I thought it was a pretty good deal.We have an old 1967 Briggs 4 HP in inventory that we plan on restoring and will use this short block as part of that. It is complete and all of the tins are in good shape.
