Lawnboy snowblower info needed

Postby mulch » Thu Feb 01, 2018 4:09 pm

Hello
I have a student with an engine that we are going to work on. It comes from a Lawnboy 109cc blower. Engine Model: D571, S/N: 110007. We cant find what manual for the specs. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

You may have better luck if they still had the chassis model number. Googling that engine number, several posts refer to a WPM model 5006, but then it goes to another engine series on the IPL.

Ok I got some more numbers off of the blower.
model: 1851 46256
sr: 9218Y1 617

I am sure this is a tecumseh but I cant narrow down which model. I have seen alot of tecumseh 2-cycle engines but not even close to as many as some of you and this one has me stumped, or Im missing something. It is different than any other that I have come across.

It does have a mechanical governor under the flywheel that I have never come across.

kinda interesting.

yeah look for a metal tag attached with a bolt (or the remains of one) those older models often had an aluminum tag with the model and spec stamped on it AH600 for example,

Yes it does and that is where these numbers come from.

Mulch the D571 is a Lawnboy engine and it is quite rare. Worse yet is that most of the engine parts are NLA.

Now the 1851 snowblower is a 1980 model.

Tradebit does have a service manual for the 1851 with the D572 engine and it should be fairly close to what you're looking for. The PDF will cost 14.95 usd for the download. Here is the link to the Trade Bit download page for the Lawn-boy 1851 w D572 engine. You can search the Lawn-boy 1850 (1979) which had the D570. Same pricing as the fore-mentioned SM.

Jack's Small Engine has the IPLs for both snowblowers online.
