Vanguard Voltage 20/50 Amp Voltage Regulator Failures

Normally I post these Dealer Service Bulletins in the Download forum with notice but this one can potential be a very hazardous problem. I known some us may have the 350000 and 380000 series; kinda doubt any of us have the 610000 series under our wings.

Please visit the Download> Briggs Service Info> Advance Service directory and download DSB1085. It contains instructions on preventive actions that you may need to take. You may save someone's home and/or life.

We have identified a potential concern with the regulator on the 20/50 amp charging system on subject Vanguard engines, manufactured between April 17, 2017 and January 31, 2018. We have received limited reports of burnt
regulators, melted wiring, in some cases fires, which had occurred while the engine is not being used.
