Dart unless the spindle shaft stars, double hex, or housing is damaged it is just as easy to just install new bearings as long as you don't remove the spindle from the deck. And yes I know the spindle are only around $25 now but for $3 in parts I can install two new bearings. It takes just a long to change the spindles as it does to put on new ones when the deck needs to come off to it either way.
Now you would need to drive out the old bearings or used a blind hole bearing puller and maybe a bearing separator to get the bearing off the spindle shaft. Just depends how pushed you are as too which you want to go.
Also if the double hex is damage on the old spindles it is time for new pulleys too. I have seen customers where they install the old wore out pulleys just to destroy their new spindles.
