I have the chance to purchase a horizontal-shaft "Koolbore" 1976 Briggs 130292 that was off of a small walk-behind tiller at a good price. The problem is , this engine has the extra crankshaft PTO that is used for reverse on a tiller. For our purposes, we don't want that extra crankshaft. Yes, we know we could just cut it off flush with the sidecover and call it a day. We want to PROPERLY convert it over to a single crank engine. Obviously, we will need to swap out the sidecover for one with a single crank- no big deal. My question is what OTHER parts will be needed to make this a proper "conversion"? Different cam? Can this be done w/o too much time and expense?
Thanks for any help.
