Honda GC160 idle

Postby DreamBig » Tue Jan 29, 2019 6:33 pm

I got a GC160 off a pressure washer that just had constant full-throttle speed. Starts and runs ok so I thought I'd use it on something else that uses a centrifugal clutch. However, I've tried everything and can't make it idle. It just dies at idle. Carb is clean, etc.. Is it possible these carbs are only calibrated for full-throttle and CAN'T idle?

Not sure what's going on here, but, that post was written by me. Maybe someone has the EXACT same situation....???
Or is this some kind of hack/spam??

I am also watching him. Yes I have notice another post too that seems very familiar as a repost. Actually is one that Bobodu did back in 2014 about an license plate it is word for word.

He did have two accounts on the system using temp email addresses so I done deleted one.

Now that I see that his other posts are just re-posts of older posts by other members I am suspending his account as he appears to be just re-posting problems just to get his post counts up to gain additional access.

I don't mind helping those are truly in need of help but this re-posting is just like retweeting where someone doesn't have a real equipment problem. We have enough problems with the regular spammers.

Oh Well I didn't much more than got through posting when he setup another account. All of his known accounts deleted now. I did leave his post intact for now.
