B & S 126T02 0220 B1 head bolt pattern torq

Postby jwales » Thu Aug 22, 2019 12:18 pm

I am replacing the head gasket on a B & S 126T02 0220 B1 07110262. I found the torq spec., 165 in/lbs. I have not been able to find the pattern/sequence for torqing the bolts. Can anyone direct me to a diagram?

Thanks

Generally, without a published pattern (Briggs does have them in service manuals, free download, that) just start with the 2 closest together (cross-wise) bolts and move outward in a crossing X pattern til you get em all.

Briggs Power Portal has it at 140 in lbs.

Thanks! My Torque wrench is in ft/lbs. so I will round up to 12ft/lbs instead of trying to figure out [11.67 ft/lbs.= 140 in./lbs.] :D
