Had a customer that tells me, (have not seen the tractor) that he's getting oil blowing out of the vent tube that normally has a small hose to the carburetor on a v-twin Kohler engine. He says the motor won't stay running long and is really messy.
This engine is on a Sears tractor, 917-287451, Kohler SV7350016. I'm thinking maybe an oil ring failed but perhaps some of you that are more familiar with the Kohler twins might have a different suggestion....

blown head gasket would be my bet

Hmm, blown head gasket, eh? That would cause something similar to what he described?

Yes. The blowby will pressurize the crankcase.
