Homelite Edger

Postby lefty » Thu Apr 30, 2020 1:59 pm

I have this edger I picked up a few years back.
Homelite
S-WLE-0799-F2N

Engine UT13140
79cc 4 stroke.

I have the manual and the engine manual but can't find the proper no-load max rpm. Has anyone had any experience with these? I was able to pick it up for $20 about 5 years ago and am taking a run at it now that I'm smaata (Massachusetts accent). I just put a new carb and fuel line on it and it's running great. My ear tells me that it's a bit high and my tach puts it about 3000. I only ran it for a few seconds like that because it sounds too high. There's a screw for easily adjusting the max but I don't know where to set it.

Thanks.

Same engine and setup as the Powermate PWL0799 so the engine max speed should be 3600 rpm per the Powermate manual.
