I have a peerless 2300 on an 85 yardman. I would like to service the brake. I think that it's just a matter of removing 2 nuts. The peerless manual shows nothing on brakes except to show the shaft that a brake goes on. Anyone direct me to some info on my brake? Two studs with nuts. Looks like a set screw with nut in centre for adjusting.

It was pretty straight forward. I thought it was a better design at first because I thought the caliper actually slid on its mounting bolts but I was wrong. So like most lawn tractors the disc needs to slide on the shaft I expect. Not happening as I could easily pull it off. Not going to try as I have it holding tractor when brake is on and releasing with brake off.
