Craftsman Blower 316.79480.1 carb ID

Postby jwales » Mon Aug 03, 2020 3:14 pm

I have a craftsman back pack leaf blower, 500 cfm, 4 cycle that would start but not run. Model #316.79480.1 and S/N 1K139DD6925. Cleaned carb in USC. In the process of putting back together the metering spring went flying...never to be found again. :o I am looking to buy a replacement or maybe even a rebuild kit (sometimes the carb is cheaper than the kit). I cant completely identify the carb and therefore can't determine the needed part(s).
The carb is a Walbro. I find WYL in one location on the casting. In another location I find stamped 2A7 (I think) and 913 below it.

Can anyone help me on the correct carb replacement or rebuild kit numbers?
Thanks for your time, Joe

Please double check the carb body. One number is a datecode but the other I don't find.

Thanks KE4AVB. So after magnification it appears that I have 247 stamped into the body and below it is 913. I find no other numbers on the carb body. I also have found a Sears parts direct number of 753-0567A. Still does not tell me the carb model.
Thanks.

Then it is a WYL-247 (I was kinda thinking it was the 247 instead of 2A7).

Repair kit PN K20-WYL
GND kit PN K11-WYL
