Hi Bob

With no more information than what you've given, this appears to be about the best lead I can find.

https://www.simplicitymfg.com/na/en_us/support/manuals.html

You'll need to find the product number and serial number of the unit to access the manual. Hope it points you in the right direction,

Hi Again Bob

Looks like your belt is 0.5" x 53.3". I had seen the links that BG lead you to, but without knowing the machine, I didn't want to send you on a wild goose chase. All the best,

That's the one I ordered....Less than $9 on ebay!! I think what messed me up was searching for Simplicity 12 FCH MANUAL instead of Simplicity 12 FCH....Looks like a fun machine to mess with.

Geetin' old sucks. Grabbed a Google ad for the belt and didn't pay attention....two inches short...Gotta eat the $9..
Then looked at the IPL... and didn't pay attention.. ordered the tranny side belt...not the hydro side....ordered the right one and it's pricey. Did NOT create an account with the tranny side folks so it'd take phone calls or emails. Probably eat that one too..But it'll run some day....I recall a reason I quit doing this stuff....

Are you pulling a Max Klinger? Instead of trying to eat a jeep you are trying to eat a lawn mower. Eat least you getting your greens too.

Oh well we make mistakes, For me I learned to take my time and double check things. Even then with all the miss-information, wear, and mods over the year I still get bit at times too. I just waiting for some one to get my current rider where I am using a 5/8" belt instead of the 1/2" deck belt but it takes it with the big motor and the fact I am cutting 3' grass with it. About it for to install a new belt. That MTD hasn't any rejection of the AYP belt
