Tecumseh Carb Kit

Postby lefty » Wed Jan 13, 2021 1:45 pm

I have a snowblower with tecumseh engine.

OH3118SA-221846B

I found the number for the carb: 640169

But I can't seem to locate the kit for it. Is there a way to tell which kit will work? There are some numbers on the carb itself:

516
5144-k5H...I think.
3-50 is stamped on the throttle plate.

It's the one with the fixed bowl nut and non-adjustable idle circuit.

Thanks

The 5144 is the 640169 carburetor.

Repair Kit is Part# 632760 (Superseded to 632760B)

Thank you.

Is there somewhere I can find that in the future or is it just something you know from doing this for so long?

There is a couple items. I have carb MGF number to PN cross reference but once you know the carburetor PN just go to Partstree.com and enter it as the model number and their system will pull up that particular carburetor.

Also you can lookup the carburetor MFG to PN on the following website.
