Small Engine Batteries

Anyone have any idea what some of the better batteries are when it comes to vibration resistance? The battery will be mounted on a log splitter to start a 10.5 HP engine. Quite a bit of vibration.

pad the battery box with a folded up old mudflap, leave plenty of flex in the battery cables that will attach to posts, should be no trouble. not much more vibration than a cheapo garden tractor with unbalanced blades...

That might fine for a stationary unit but I don't know if that would be fine for one being towed. I was thinking more in the line of the tow behind models with straight none spring mounted axles that some operators tow behind their vehicles. I would assume there would a lot more impacts from potholes affecting the battery.

This would be used on a basically stationary splitter that is towed by a lawn tractor from the shop to the woodpile.

Then what BGS suggested should be fine.

Forgive me otherwise as it just the engineer in me thinking the worst case applications

Still running the $19 one from Walmart after 3 years...
It's a log splitter....not a Lake Michigan boat.
