Guys I had a lot 793880 ACR failures over the years but a new worrying problem is happening when these ACR fails. I had three in a row to take out the governor/oil slinger. The latest engine even shows damage from metal fragment getting slammed between the piston rod and the crankcase right at the cylinder.
Why can't Briggs realize there is a major problem with these camshaft ACRs. Even the latest supersede part is no better than the older part. One customer done had tow failures in less than 6 months. The last one destroyed the governor completely. Since after market camshaft are now on the market and seems to be just about as good as the OEM. I see no point paying nearly $60 for one that just going to fail within a few months when I can get an AM version for $30.
