Echo 150BT

I got this machine a few months ago with crap compression because of a scored piston and cylinder. After waiting almost 3 months for a piston, cylinder, rings, clips, pin, etc...I've finally got it back together...mostly. Try as I may, I can't find any torque specs for the cylinder bolts. Should I just use my judgement or are there specs for these?

Give me a day. I see if one my contacts might have the service info. Gone to post the request now.

The librarian replied that he is only finding a reference to a Husqvarna 150BT. Are sure it is a Echo 150BT?

If it is a Husqvarna the M5-.80 screws for the cylinder are torqued to 5.9~7.8 Nm (50 - 69 in/lbs). Middle of the road is 58 in/lbs.

I'm not sure it's an Echo. In fact, now that I read your post, I am positive it's not. It's a Husqvarna. I'm terribly sorry about that. I have 2 Echos and a Husqvarna in the garage right now. I must have gotten my wires crossed. I keep saying I need to get a computer for the garage...either that or convince my wife to let me bring small engine equipment into the house. Please accept my apologies for sending you on that goose chase. If it's any consolation, the Husqvarna specs are exactly what I'm looking for and I thank you.

That is something I got to do too. As both of the computers for the shop are partially repaired just got get off my tail feathers and finish them. One lost a HD and the other lost the power supply.

Thanks again. I got this thing all back together and was wondering if there was any break in protocol for starting up. I mixed a hair on the rich side. I started it and let it run for about 15-20 seconds at idle and then shut it down. I did coat everything with a nice film of 2 cycle oil when assembling. Everything seems good but am not sure about revving it up. Not sure if I mentioned it initially but I went with all OEM parts. Thanks.

Just let it idle for a few minutes to warm up then run it normally. You can run the mix a bit rich if you wish, I don't bother.

Thank you. Should I edit the title of this post to "Husqvarna" for other's sake?
