Anyone know where to find out what engine is in this trimmer? The sticker on the engine doesn't seem to come up with anything, 1TM1QCF36

In the 2016, 2014 Remington RM1159 22-inch Trimmer Lawn Mower Model: 25A-26J7783 IPL. Later models uses the same engine but it not listed in those IPLs. Same engine was used on the RM2200 trimmer.

BTW that model number should be engraved on the engine crankcase. It is basically the same their P65 engine but the parts are different, I have service a couple of the X65 here for carburetor problems.

Question through does it have the 1X65BA carburetor or is it a different model?

I know the PN I was looking for the imprinted info on the carburetor itself. It is likely a Huayi carburetor. Just trying to see I have of the parts crossed. So far the best image is showing a 1X65B but MTD is trying to very secretive about the carburetors calibration code.

You know what's strange KE4AVB? This carb was sitting with bad gas in it. But, the inside of carb was pretty clean...the needle was stuck however and that was easy to fix. I did clean the orifices and spray it out good but I'll be damned if the carb will take fuel! I see this so much of late...you clean the carbs thoroughly and it's like a crap shoot whether they'll work again! Couldn't we all get together and strike against Ethanol??

So far all I have done to these carburetors is to clean them and install a new bowl gasket. The one I mention I do have the MTD gasket part number for it. Some of the other uses the Honda bowl gasket; different size. Expensive little bugger but better than the carburetor rebuild kit. Getting the needle spring was a pain through as they sent oil seals the first time.

MTD does have part numbers for the individual carburetor parts but they just want to hide them well. Rather force us to buy complete carburetors, just less items to keep track of.
