When will YOUR state enact similar legislation?

I think supply will be more of a problem as manufacturers stop production due to shrinking consumer demand but problems will start surfacing as the demand for electric grows. Where are the metals to manufacture batteries going to come from and what about waste disposal? The grid is already strained in highly populated areas. How will the extra demand be handled? I expect the whole thing will fall flat on its face.

Echoing what KE4 says, if the EPA really wanted to actually do something about carbon emissions, why not go for the largest polluters in the world after China. Container ships and cruise ships plying the worlds oceans followed by commercial jetliners and private jets. From what I understand, a private jet flying for 50 minutes produces as much CO₂ as the average car produces in a year. Just my 2¢ worth,
