I love Craigslist

Postby bobodu » Wed Nov 19, 2014 3:06 pm

Got bored and checked out Craigslist last night. Found a Mercury 110 9.8 hp for $100. Guy said it quit pumping water out the witness hole. She started on the first pull and came with the gas tank. Took out the two bolts holding on the lower end and opened up the pump housing....fried impeller !! Ordered a $27 rebuild kit and I'll be good to go. I need a smaller motor for trolling. The 125 won't go slow enough and the electric won't pull the boat fast enough for a crawler harness. Got really pizzed watching people catching pike on those calm days and I really hate casting.

Nah...I'm gonna use some of Obama's alternative energy. The kind that works as an alternative to science.

Lots of good stuff on cl, wife simply does not understand why I want another chain saw or that neat whizbang for 20 bucks. I snagged a 25' fifth wheel travel trailer for 1500 bucks, guy wanted it out of his yard. Another 400 and a few dry weekends we have a very serviceable unit.
