Still playing with gif files

I just start trying to learn how to do those animated pictures. It going to take me some time to get that layering thing to work. First I got to learn how to do it with either my current program or the new one that I downloaded this week. I just got to myself settled down to do it.

Glad you said it was one of your tool boxes as if it anything like me you got several small ones around. I would like to get one more roller cabinet sorta like the 44" one that HF has with 13 drawers so I can get my tools in a more central location. Right now I got several small hand carry boxes and some other tools that sitting on open shelves that anyone can easily carry off when I not watching the shop; besides it will give me more room to fill up again.

I am from an area where customers where bad to five finger discount things. I know if someone really wanted to steal the tools they will find a way. It sorta like the guy that has a small portable building with all his tool boxes and equipment bolted down. An enterprising thief just backed his trailer up to the building while the guy is on vacation, loaded the whole building and drove off. His insurance company covered the thief but it will take a lot time to replace all those tools again. He is still finding tools that he had that got to be replaced. He did replaced the building with a site built shop.

I use "makeagif.com"
It works pretty good if your pictures are not too big and make your pictures about the same size shape.This requires a lot of up loading and then down loading the final product. I stacked 4 pictures on the tool box gif. I don't know what the max is.

About the tool box and the 5 finger discounts.............I have the advantage there. No stranger comes into my shop but then I am not in the business. Just me and sometime my grandson comes into it when he needs something fixed.

It upsets me when I brake a tool or misplace a tool. I only loan tools when I go with the tool

Should be fairly unlimited except the file size limits. Animated Gifs have very large file sizes when compared to other formats. Not as much of a problem as when they were introduced, we got better and faster equipment overall. For me the days of 128k memory, 5 mhz processors, 1.2 mb floppy drives, and 1200 baud online transfers are distance memory.

Breaking a tool is something I haven't done unless they were worn out.

I also found out that tools got to have seeing eye person to return home. :lol:

They simply have no sense out direction even from across the street.

When I was just starting out working I loaned one piece test equipment and it took me nearly 6 months to find it. It had change hands several times the last person wanted proof the I owned it. Thanks for engravings and a copy of the invoice.

I think I would find the orignal person who I loaned the equipment and tell them , there would not be any more loans................never.

Years ago I loaned a man my chain saw. Upon return 2 weeks later, it had the housing broke and a big blob of JB Weld on it. While looking at his patch job, I noticed the chain was so dull-you could drag your hand along it and it wouldn't snag. I asked him about it and he said he had to cut 2 trees below ground level.
Needless to say, he never used any of my tools again :oops:
