Well that would be a section right out of the big blue Master Parts Manual. Anyone still have one?

Curious what specific info you needed here. I don't know if they had the info somewhere in a PDF. I remember the PITA of removing sections and replacing them in those old manuals though.

The IPL only reference the above document in refer to the ignition coil. Doesn't matter now as the customer has already pickup the equipment.

Tecumseh ignitions, like carburetors and starters, could often have their own part number for the complete magneto, with separate parts breakdown for that specific magneto number.

Otherwords you are saying that they are or were too lazy include them in a complete IPL. No wonder they went out of business.

Or it could be like the JD throttle that I was needing to know the housing length and they replied with a drawing showing to be less than two inches. Hell even the shorter cable is $9 inches. But I am needing a much longer cable for the FX921V I installing in replace of a FX850V.

Tecumseh had very complete IPL's and Dealer training schools (Yes I'm old enough to have attended a Tecumseh Factory School) for new dealers went over how to use their parts catalogs. Many "major" components such as Starters (Rewind, electric, etc), Magnetos (various specs for adjustability/ layout/ charging systems, etc) Carburetors and exhausts as well as other accessory drives , instead of being given all the potential parts breakdowns in one file, they'd assign each unique type its own master part number - That part number would then be given its own parts breakdown. It worked well for Tecumseh (With Briggs you had your type and date codes, and some engines could have hella thick parts catalogs) Much as we still can look up tecumseh Carburetor body ID number and cross reference to a part number , and that carburetor part number is used to look up carb parts in IPL's
Tecumseh was forced the way of the dodo because they could not solve the US EPA Emissions standards problems (most L-Heads could not anyways) and couldn't compete with the Honda Clone engines (HF Predators) that were being used to replace them.

But like other obsoleted machinery, lots of parts catalogs are being lost or messed up as they are trying to be "adapted" to the modern internet parts lookups. You can still find accurate parts lookups for Tecumseh if you know where to look and what to watch out for. Might have been able to be more helpful if you had instead posted what info you were needing, instead of the "disvsion 5 section b" thing - could have asked where to find the coil part number for the magneto, or whatever that case might have been. Some of us old school guys can still find that info, but it isn't being dug out of old paper any more, so we need more to go on as to what to look for..

We are no longer in the paper age but are in the digital age. All it takes is some company like PartSmart to do it, if nothing else add hyperlinks to the online IPLs. I personally have done this with several PDFs I have created here. Suki if you send me the model and spec I can create for you a PDF the has the magneto, starter, and carburetor pages added to the base engine PDF. Probably take all of 15 minutes to do.

Matter of fact I am now research a couple Delta conversion harnesses where we can install sealed PTO switches in place of the none sealed versions. The current problem is that Delta is refusing to provide the info so I got order the harnesses and physically do the pin outs here so if the MX150 12 pin connector has to be replaced it can be rewired correctly. The other end connector and terminals are not shown anywhere so it might a Delta only connector which would take to find an outside source. OF doing the schematic will also take time as are basically done found starch.

Normally I do these documents using import, paste, and edit.
