Compression tester

I'm on my 2nd tester. The first failed in that the needle no longer zero'd out. I recently purchased a cheap on off amazon and discovered I was getting low readings. A friend had a good quality one for motorcycles and it clearly showed mine was measuring way low.

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a reliable one. I could use my friends but the adaptors don't offer enough threads so I'm running out of thread before the oring seats. Thanks.

I have one but seldom used it. A leak down test gave me a more accurate assessments on four strokes, two strokes got a looksee through the exhaust port.

I still using the Actron I brought back in 2009. Now you need get one with the schrader in the hose end for the cylinder. Some have the schrader valve at the gauge which makes them useless for small engine especially some like a 25cc one.

Also make sure it comes with the 10mm plug adapter.

I ended up picking up the one from NAPA. It looks very similar to the Actron. Thanks.
